I'm trying to make an external database of TC numbers trigger a journal to allow a "hyperlink" feature to the models. Is there any Nxopen or vba trick to allow this? We have an external database that drive purchasing and it is being fed by Team Center. Trying to complete the loop and allow models to be opened via a hyperlink to that TC part number. Hard to find training material for automation in NX. Any post I ahve found seems this is not possible. Currently running NX 2306 and Team Center 2312.
