TRIM SOLID ABAQUS

Hi to everyone,
I have to trim a 3D solid with cylindrical geometry, in order to mesh a quarter of solid.
I have to put symmetry constraints on the cut surfaces.
which is the correct procedure for trimming the part?

If my understanding is correct, then a simple Cut -> Extrude would be enough to cut away 3/4 of the part.
