I am trying to make a round embossing die with a pattern that criss crosses. I projected a curve on to the face of the die. I then turned the curve ito a 3 d sketch and swept a profile along the path. I repeated for the pattern that goes the other direction, and then arrayed them both around the die. My problem is that I need to trim some of the pattern back to where it intersects with the pattern going the other direction. This would makes a "bear claw" pattern on the die. I cant figure out how to eliminate the partial sections of the sweep that I need to. It won't let me array the 3-d path, or trim them when I tried to do multiple projections to the face and do multiple 3-d paths (wont recognise the intersection.). Any ideas? I might be taking the wrong approach altogether.
