Hi,

Could please someone tell me how to design laminated ring seal for triple eccentric butterfly valve. I have to design laminated ring - stainless steel/PTFE - how many layers, wich one is first, thickness of the layers etc.

I may buy them but don't design them. New international suppliers usually attend trade shows with a camera and a ruler. ;-)

OK. Thank you, but where I can see those trade shows.
I will buy, but how to produce it.

Can you tell me abouth the angle of the sealing ring of the body. When you look at the body one angle is horizontal (0 deg) and the other should be????

Hi obv23,

Sorry to say this but have to be honest. Nobody but a disgruntled employee is going to give away hard earned technology. Companies who have this knowledge have either spent their time hard earned time money testing to learn this information, or have purchased a competitive product and reverse engineered. Either way, it is highly unlikely someone is just going to tell you. You will have to do the work.

OK. I will do the work. Thank you.I just wanted some information to start with.

bcd,

It doesn't take a disgruntled employee, just find the right business school grad manager who can be convinced he can make more margin by importing, and whoosh! out the door all the hard earned technology will go.

''or have purchased a competitive product and reverse engineered'' - That would be the easiest way...
I wanted to spend some money and time to get some knowledge, but in today's world it's easier to stole it.

Thank you for helping me - great advice!!!

tr1ntx,

Great point. Experienced it first hand many times. Fortunately, most often, only the "how" is sent overseas. The real valuable part "why" usually doesn't. When there is a problem with the outsourced stuff, people come begging for the "why".

I'm now on how, why wil come later..., but I will solve this with or without help...
