Tripple duty valve benefits

I have not much experience with triple duty valve, I have experience with DRV (double regulating balancing valve), I came to across a reading, found that the triple duty valve can be used in place of balancing valve, non-return valve and shut off valve. My question that is it reduces the total pressure drop and energy efficient. Distinctly say that the equivalent feet of triple duty valve are higher or lower compare to the equivalent feet of DRV+NON RETURN VALVE. thank you

A sensible answer to this question is not possible without binding it to a specified application with exact flow and fluid data and specified valve solutions with specified valves (brand, makes and model numbers).

But yes, this might under conditions be true. If it is the best or most practical solution is quite another casa. How easy it is for instance to get a replacement if failure?
