Hi, I hope it's ok to ask here. As a hobby I fix up old lapidary and jewelry making machine. An old faceting machine I am working on has a loud motor. Would anybody here please be able/willing to help me troubleshoot based on a sound the motor makes? I would mainly like to know if the motor is sounding ok to you and if not if you have a guess on what is wrong and if it's fixable (e.g. bearings, brushes,..).
I attached the video and also uploaded it to youtube so you can hear how it sounds.
It's hooked up to a speed control and is reversible.
Motor info:
Leeson motors cm24d26nz1a
Volts 90
RPM 2565
AMPS .45
HP 1/26
M1004021.02
I'll be grateful for any help you can provide. Thank you!
Tereza.
