Truck Brake Air Pressure

I am wondering whether anyone out there can confirm that the air pressure suppied to the drum brakes on trucks is generic and is 100psi. I have heard a rumour that the comprssor kick in at 100psi.
This pressure may then be further regulated by a load proportioning valve before it is applied to an S-cam to multiply the force.
Is this all correct?

No it is not generic. Low pressure systems are 7-12 bar, high pressure systems 14-20, and trailer brakes are often at 6-8 bar.
