Truck Decontamination dry brushing or steam cleaning procedure

I am in the process of creating a description and detail of a decontamination area for truck tire cleaning. The trucks will be cleaned prior to leaving the project site. Does anyone have any ideas where I can find information on dry brushing? I haven't done this before and I haven't been able to find any background on this. Another option I have is to steam clean the vehicles as they leave the site. Does anyone have any ideas on the best design for the steam clean area to reduce mud and water recovery?

Are you cleaning because you just don't want soil on the public roadway, or is the material contaminated? If it is contaminated, you will need to collect the effluent if you steam clean, and test before you dispose of it.

Yes it is contaminated. We are planning on collecting effluent and using it as dust suppression on areas of the site where contaminated soil will remain. Do you know where I can find any design specs for this type of system?

In the past, the contractor has simply set up a poly ground cover, made sides of hay bales (covered with the poly), and sized it for the vehicles to be used. I've never seen it actually designed or drawn up. After cleaning, a laborer just used a wet vac to suck up the effluent and it was either piped to drums, or if lots of traffic, a temp holding tank.
