Hello friends

I have a model in "application Modeling" in green color but it remains gray in "true Shading" option.
I have other models and I can change the color, and when I apply "true shading" it appears like I choose the color in "application modeling" (green, red etc.).
Some one of you know why the color become gray all the time only in this file?

Thanks for your time.

Are you sure that while you were in the 'True Shading' mode that you did not select one of the 'Global Materials'? This will override the color of the model. In order to 'reset' this, you will need to select the first 'material' under the 'Global Materials' icon. This option will simply apply a metallic finish to the original color of the body.

Thanks for your comment., When I apply "true shading" and "true shading editor" I can select a material, but I don't need to select a material from this list, I only need to change the color in "modeling" and see this in metallic form in "true shading" only.
I proved many textures from the list and they are well, but in this case the model needs to appears with other color.

Tom

That's true, but making a 'Global Materials' selection allows you to quickly review the effects of several different materials without having to actually do any editing, but if you do select one of those 'materials' and then leave True Shading, the system remembers that last selection and will display your model use it the next time you toggle on 'True Shading'. As I said, only the first set of options on that list won't override the model's color, but rather just apply different finishs. Also let's make sure that we're not confusing 'True Shading' with 'Studio' rendering style.

Thanks for your time, I will use materials from the list of "true shading editor" to adjust my model. By other hand, all this changes are in "true shading" not in "studio".

Best regards

That's fine. Just remember that in the 'Global Materials' section of the dialog, the first 5 icons only changes the appearance of the model without changing the color. The next 25 icons will change both appearance AND color.

Also note that the next section, 'Object Specific Colors', are intended to either be assigned to individual components in the case of any assembly or to faces of a model. These 'material' assignments are NOT overridden by selections from the 'Global Materials' panel. But these changes also do not live 'outside' of True Shading.

Thanks for your help & time, I finished the model using "true shading editor" with global materials and object specific material.
