Thanks for responding.Does the 3030 5k cut the same as the 3050 5k? Do you troubleshoot the system the same way as the 3050 as far as the controls? Are the cutting parameters the same? How thick can you cut on the 3030 5k? What types of lasers do you have?

The major difference is table size3030 is 5kw table is 60x120 3040 table is 80 by 160. The 3030 new series are a touch screen control that is much more user friendly. We do all our own troubleshooting and repairs. Although I have not done much with the new one because we just finished installs, Trumpf currently only has 2 qualified techs in the US trained to work on them. I have total 30 Trumpf 5kw lasers and 2 Tanaka 6kw. You can cut one inch on most 5kw machines but can be a struggle sometimes. Cut speeds are the same as 4050 laser but torque difference in drive system makes traversing in multiple directions about 5 percent slower with the 3030.

Thanks for the info on the new 3030. I'm sure it will take some getting use to and is a change from the 3o50 series. on our 5k,s we have made changes to the beam dilivery as well as techtables to increase cutting speeds, edge quality and no dross with parts dropping out of the skeletons up to 1.25 a36 carbon. we have tried the 1.50 and still needs some work but with a very busy day there is not much time to adjust the 1 1/2 carbon. we have found that there are many different ways to cut by making changes to the techtables and still end up with the same possitive result.

we do the same with the tech tables as well but you have to be careful when making certain changes. if you make kerf adjustments that are way out of the norm on some contours at certain points in a plate the processor cannot do the math and it will skip over this and go to the next pierce. every machine is different to just because it does it to 1 4050 machine doesnt mean it will do it to the next it all depends on the axis points and the math involved it is really very strange. good luck to you
