Dear all
I m modeling effect of composite fiber reinforce polymer (CFRP) layer on steel tube. There are some suggestion to model CFRP layer using truss element and to model steel tube using shell element. There is no problem modeling steel tube using shell element as the nature of thin wall structure. However, I m struggling to model CFRP using truss element. Is that only wire shape and solid can be modeled with truss element ?
Have anyone here tried this before ?
Cheers
