Trying to connect a small steering to a bearing

Hello!

I'm trying to connect a small steering to a bearing.

I'm using a generic 608ZZ bearing.

My problem is that there is a lot of clearance/gap, which doesn't make the steering wheel firm.

I'm also attaching an image of how I'm connecting the bearing, I'm sure everything is tight.

Does anyone have any tips?

Am I using the correct bearing?

Should I connect in a different way?

yeah, you can't do that (cantilever over a bearing) ... well, you can, but you get the result you have.

You would be better if you used a bearing with two parallel races (I don't know p/n).
or two bearings back-to-back.
or better two support lugs, with the problem of aligning them to each other.

Is anything going to be loading the disc (where you are shaking with your finger) ?
or is this disc a wheel ?

hello, in a quick research, I believe the tips you mentioned will solve the issue.

I know, my current model is very basic, but I started from scratch just a few weeks ago, so please forgive me.

If that's a ball bearing (I suspect) then a roller bearing would give more stability (if the loads are not great).
