I'm doing some work for a client who has 2 licensed seats of ACAD-2005. He has the Installation disks. One seat has express tools loaded and running, the other does not- he never loaded it on the other computer. Guess which one I'm using ! SO- I loaded the disk, clicked install express tools. The installation completed successfully- no indications of an installation error. Started the autocad. I'm used to the expresstools functions and menu coming right up. It didn't this time. I rebooted just in case. Nothing. I typed "expressmenu" at the command line. Got back the error "menu not found". Checked the Files tab in the "Options" dialog box. The path is there- C:\program files\autocad 2005\express. Tried menuload with no success. I guess at this point I'm stumped. Any suggestions ?
Thanks.

As I recall, the commands "expresstools" as well as "expressmenu" sometimes kick-started it.

About removing the existing ACAD and reinstall it as well as the Express Tools.

You think something's gone wrong with the original install that you'd suggest a reinstall ?

chicopee-

I took your suggestion and reinstalled and relicensed. Boy ! have you ever tried to relicense the reinstall of an old seat with AutoDESK ? Whew ! But eventually they came thru. Sure enough the reinstall seems to have worked. THANKS !
