Tube axial fan installation

Does anybody know where I can find installation instructions for a roof-mounted tube-axial fan? I'm looking for how to install the curb and so on. I have roofing considerations locked up. I know it will have to be mounted level, beyond that, I've no experience with installing curbs. I believe that once the curb is installed the fan installation will be easy, I have an electrical contractor to supply the power. Thanks in advance for your help.

You may want to consider talking to a consultant that may provide you with a decent roof curb detail for your situation. Some roofing or ventilation contractors may also have details that you could use (or you could get them to do it).

If the fan is tall and with stack, you will have to have structural engineer design guy wires (minimum three). The structural enginerr would also have to design framing around the roof opening to support the metal deck or roof element. By code the stack/fan must resist 100 mph wing. Give weight and fan/stack dimensions to structural engineer.
Check with fan manufacturer if they can provide the curb and typical details. You may have to provide pitch pockets for guy wire attachment to roof.
Make sure fan has gravity operated or electric operated damper to close when fan is off. Also it should have a weatherproof disconnect switch.

Go with a motor operated damper with an end switch. Sequence the fan to start after the end switch closes the control circuit. I don't specify gravity dampers because they tend to stick and if they don't open all the way, turbulence is created at the fan inlet, thus decreasing capacity.
