Actually situation tube to tubesheet shape
tube side 25.4 od and 2.6 thickness
tubesheet 40 thickness
all material is P no. 1
tube hole pitch 32 triangle
only fillet welding for tube to tubesheet and leg size 2mm.
tube hole with 2 grooves and expansion after welding
Perform QW-193 mockup test is required by client.

As caption subject,
QW-288 is tube-to-tubesheet quanification essential variables required by code,
is there any request the test piece (tubesheet) thickness to be following up ?
I mean, if I perform the QW-193 mockup test, what's thickness for tubesheet test piece does need ?

Other questions, for QW-288.1(p) , shall we follow up the same shape as actually tube hole (2 groove and expansion)
into test piece, or no need ?

Recommended for you

First, you need to determine the construction code for the tube to tubesheet design.
Next, you follow Section IX requirements, which means the coupon should be identical to the production tube to tubesheet weld joint - simulating tubesheet thickness and tube OD and wall thickness.

Thank you Metengr.

Other question,

The QW-193 mock-up had been required by client.
If I follow up the QW-288 essential variables,
shall I also follow up general GTAW QW-256 essential variables ?
