My question is regarding clauses UHX-12.4(c), UHX-13.4(d), and UHX-14.4(e) which state:
"The designer shall consider the effect of deflections in the tubesheet in the tubesheet design, especially when tubesheet thickness h is less than the tube diameter."
I assume this to mean consideration of deflections that may cause distortion of the tubes, but I find the wording vague.
I have found the question posted before ( but unfortunately, no answer has been posted.
Is there a guideline for what amount of deflection is acceptable?
