tubesheet design temperature

Hello Everyone,

I've got a simple question, is the tubesheet in HP feedwater heaters subjected to superheated steam from the shell side?

No, the steam you get in the shell side is not superheated yet!

Yes, the HP heaters have superheated steam on the shell side at the inlet.
That is why the first section is called 'de-superheater'.
In every one that I have seen they have added baffling so that the steam cannot directly impinge on either the tubes or the tubesheet.

Obviously the tubesheet design temp must be the same as shellside design temp..
 
Yes I understand that there is a desuperheating zone, my question is whether the tubesheet should be designed based on the saturated temp. of steam or the superheat temp.
