Well, to the uninformed it sure made it seem easy. It is nice not to be confused by the facts.

Reminds me why I stick to working on aeroderivitives!

This is not a turbine topic per se, but it is closely connected. I'd like to seem them video the changeout of the condenser bundle(s) for that same turbine (or one similar). I think it would make something as straight forward as a rotor replacement look like childs play. The largest I was ever involved with was a shop fabricated tube bundle-all titanium, tubes and tubesheets, 57 feet long, 19 feet high and 15 feet wide weighing 365K lbs. There were multiple bundles for that particular unit and they stripped out the old stuff and inserted the new in something like 40 days during a steam generator changeout. They had to handle all those bundles around transformers, HV lines, etc right outside the building and in through the tube pull pit. Heck of an operation.

RMW- If you could to around 1/2 an order of magnitude or so, answer this question: "What the Heck does a condenser bundle 57'x19'x15' weighing 375k lbs and made of Ti cost?"

Nick,

There were 2 of them, with the second being similarly sized (a skosh smaller as it was for a different pressure zone of the condenser) but the pair went for ~$10million as I remember it. But, remember that number was the price in effect over a decade ago.
