Turbine Spec. 1

Hi all,

I am having a little bit of trouble reading this spec, I have attached a view of the spec.

1) The view is from the governor, I'm assuming it's behind the inlet and outlet (they are on the same side). Where is the governor located?

2) Inlet Flange: "FORWARD FROM CENTERLINE OF EXHAUST OF 0.049".. What does that mean?

3) Lastly, what does "TURBINE SHAFT RISE AT STEAM AND BEARING 0.011" mean?

These are the predicted growths of the turbine from ambient to full operating temperature. The inlet flange will move to the left by 0.047", down by 0.03" and axially toward the governor end by 0.049". The exhaust flange will move to the left by 0.034", down by 0.02" with no axial movement. The turbine shaft will rise 0.011" at the steam end bearing and rise 0.010" at the exhaust end bearing. All references refer to directions as you are standing at the turbine outboard (steam end, governor end) and looking along the shaft, axially toward the inboard (exhaust end, drive end). The turbine case is pinned at the inboard for axial movement and has a wobble foot on the outboard. The thrust bearings is on the outboard. The turbine case grows axially away from the coupling. The turbine shaft grows axially toward the coupling.
