New 7.5 user here. I have a sketch with 100 dimensions in it and they all have the name of the dimension in front of it.

Example = p280=6

I just want it to say 6 instead of cluttering up my screen with the p280= garbage.

Thanks in advance!

Have you experimented with the "fixed Text Height" option in the dimensions dialogue in the sketch environment? i set the test height at 4mm and turn on the Fixed Text Height option I have a little trouble with dimensions wandering around a bit but it is a big improvement.

If you ignore the dimensions names you are ignoring an enormously powerful capability of parametric models. I wish I could define the starting letter for the name. I also wish that reference dimensions would get their own special dimension names which would be much simpler and more powerful than the odd measure function.

Yes I have played with fixed text height. My problem is that every day all day I have to use Solidworks, Catia V5, and NX 7.5. Catia and Solidworks do have names for dimensions but it isn't displayed in front of the dim. If you want to know the dim name you just check the property of the dimension. I fully understand why dimensions have names.. I just don't want to see them in front of all of my dimensions.

Go into Sketch Preferences (pull-down) -> Sketch Style -> Dimension Label
