For a three phase separator turndown, would level settings have any consequence?

Lets say vessel is designed for 1000 BOPD and 200 BWPD and 2 MMSCFD gas

But we are operating at 50% i.e. 500 BOPD, 100 BWPD and 1 MMSCFD

if the LLL-LLLL time was 2 minutes for design...would not it increase now for 50% operation? that would be good right?

What will happen to Normal Liquid Level in case of turndown ???

At those levels of flow I would say your levels should remain as is. All that will happen is that you should get a higher separation of components as everything will have a longer residence time providing the gas pressure remains the same as before?

Certainly the liquid separation will be better and then it depends on the pressure for the gas drop out.

All levels should be controlled to the same amount.

50% turndown should be well within the capability of the control valves to control flow and level.

NLL stays the same
