Where is the best place to get information on how to calculate the turning radius of large trucks. We are getting ready to put a fence around our equipment yard, and need to figure out how wide of a gate we need for the truck to get in. I want to explore all possibilities, but would prefer to not angle the gate. The road I need to turn in off of is 24' wide(2 12' lanes). I think the lowboy is 80' long(truck and trailer). Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

If you are designing for a specific large truck, go take measurements of the wheelbase and length, also get an estimate of the turning angle of the front wheels. In fact, if you can, have the driver perform a turn for you on a gravel or dirt surface and then measure the tire tracks.

You would probably get good information by calling one or two of your local Lowbed companies. The dispatcher should be able to give you some good information on how much room is needed for the various size of trailers.
