I am looking for any advice with the construction of the above. We are founding in sand and will require a berm to prevent scour and wave actions against the base of the wall. The size is quite substantial, creating an perimeter of 660x320m using 27m length sheet piles, founded 13.5m to create a large area of dry works.
I have been tasked with finding the lessons learnt from previous projects, more specifically
- to reduce dredged material loss
- diving team time for tying the ties
- defence methods to combat down time caused by swell and adverse weather
- preferred construction methods with regard to positioning of ties/wailers etc
- application and removal of bulk fill from between the walls
- loading on ties caused by fill settlement
- enhanced stability of sheet piles during construction
Any help with the above would be greatly appreciated, specifically case studies, previous experience or any contact you can put me in touch with.
Kind Regards
Philip Pitman
