Hi!
I'm desingning a new control systems and plc for old copper cutterline. I need to change two old DC drives for newer ones. Motors are in the same line, so I think it should be called Master-Slave system. I'm new to these drive things and don't have a clue how should I do speed control for these drives. Speed reference should be able to adjust from one place for both drives (potentiometer), and speed difference between drives must be able to adjust. Allso need integration for speed-reference. The old control system was made by using self-made analogue electronics.
Any suggestions how should I do speed control for drives? Does new DC drives have these functions integrated? Can you name some manufacturers? Is there any sense for using PLC to control drives? Do you know any websites with information?
Thanks in advance
