I am leaving my PhD program. I have a MS in aerospace engineering. I have enough credits so that if I stayed just one more year, I would get an MS in mechanical engineering.
Question
Is it worth it to stick around another year to get an MS in Mechanical Engineering (when I already have an MS in Aerospace Engineering)?
Having two MS degrees, one in Mechanical engineering and one in Aerospace engineering seems very redundant and pointless. Having said that, I already have finished 1 years worth of credits and research. Furthermore, this MS would have a unique thesis. Still, it seems pointless due to the similarity of the 2 credentials.
