I just read that we can't use hanger supports when dealing with two phase flow piping. is it true? if so, what are the recommended supports used in that case?

The reason you might not want to use them is due to two-phased flow causing a hammering effect which can cause your line to sway if there aren't any rigid type of supports.

The type of supports would depend on the size and layout of your piping. So shoes, clamps, guides, etc. might be better used.

Probably true. Two phase flow implies surging and vibration/ variable forces, so if you pipe does not resist horizontal movement very well then it could sway or move viloe try as momentum forces in the pipe change suddenly.

So you need to provide supports and guides which prevent this. Why have you got hangers?
