Hi all,

Can anyone recommend a good textbook or books that deal with two phase flow? Steam-condensate is what I am mainly looking for, but any gas-liquid flows are of interest to me. The fluid and thermo texts I have are a bit too basic, only touching on two phase flow without going into any great detail.

Thanks in advance.

You might try perusing ( on the internet) some college grad school's curriculum, pick a course on 2-phase flow, and refer to the text that the instructor is using for that course.

MikeHalloran,

I have that book (your link) and I consider it to be the best treatment of the subject matter when compared to anything else I have read.

I've bought a lot of books over the years, but the Govier/Aziz treatment on multiphase and particle flows has been almost as useful to me as Machinery's Handbook.

In particular, it's the only textbook I have found that covers anomalous pressure drops in gas flow when a small amount of water is added.

Thanks Mike, I think I will purchase that book.

Davefitz, I have done that, but nothing compares to a good textbook that can sit on my shelf and serve as a reference forever more.

This paper might be useful for the solution and some calculation as well (You might find it by searching Google):
