I'm looking for insights on the applicability of the two-winding equivalent model for a three-winding transformer. Specifically:
- In what scenarios is it acceptable to use a two-winding equivalent instead of modeling all three windings explicitly?
- Are there situations where this simplification leads to significant errors or is not appropriate (e.g. certain fault studies)?
- In what scenarios three-winding model (T-model) is more appropriate?
- Can anyone recommend textbooks, papers, or technical resources that discuss the limitations of the two-winding equivalent?
