Tying celestial mechanics to Earth’s ice ages

As part of her professional organization membership, my wife receives this magazine. The cover caught my eye the other day, and I ended up learning something.

Very interesting stuff here. It ties the multiple ways Earth's orbit changes cyclically over time to the cycle of ice ages as well as human evolution. Not highly political, but does eventually conclude that humans have effectively postponed the next ice age. It would be starting now (over the next couple thousand years), but could be as much as 60,000 years away due to anthropogenic GHG.
