Hi Everyone,
I am looking at a specification for square bar stock to QQ-S-764/AMS 5610. Simple enough so far, now my question.
The condition called out is:
"Annealed (Class 6-C), Cold Finish"
My problem is that I can't resolve what "Class 6-C" means exactly because I find next to nothing in the referenced specifications alluding to this phrase. I think that it may be analagous to "2B Finish" from the ASTM specifications for some sheet and plate based upon a couple of obscure search results that I came across on the web. However I can't resolve this one way or another it seems. So if anyone out there can shed light on the deeper meaning of this innocous little phrase....
Any help that the good folks at Eng Tips can provide is most appreciated.
Thanks,
