Hello Everyone,
I have a design where we're installing (2) 200 HP steam boilers. The steam boilers are gas and oil fired.
We plan to route (2) 18" vent stacks(each boiler has 18" vent stack connection) into (1) 28" common vent straight up and out through the roof.
I'm looking at a UL rated, type B venting system for the vent stacks. I know it's ok for a gas-fired boiler, but is
a UL rated, type B venting system OK for oil-fired boilers?? They'll use gas most of the time, but they could use oil in the event of an emergency.
Other than the IMC 2006, is there another reference source that I need to check to see if oil-fired boilers can be connected to the type B venting system?
Thank for any info that someone may give.
