HI all,

Can anybody help me i getting basic details of valves ( i.e their construction details, working principles and their suited applications)

Different valves i.e butterfly valves, angle valves, gate valves, globe valves, balancing valves, slide valve, needle valves, ball valves etc.

Also if you can tell me the application of 4 way valves?

Thanks

Try the following book:
"ISA handbook of control valves" 2nd ed., J.W. Hutchison , 1976 isbn 0-87664-234-2

Take a look at GGOSCO's Vari-V valve. It will give you a good understanding of how a ball valve with a V orifice cut in the ball can offer excellent control.
