Here is my issued
I would like to know what type of grease you recommended to me in order to apply this grease in gate valves, that protects valve against corrision and humity. These valve are located in maritimal terminal near sea. The sun is blistering and the humity in winter is high. I am actually using mobilarma grease. But these grease seem to be with a low viscosty look like oil. Help me Recommeded to me a type of grase any brand.
Thanks for your time

if corrosion and humidity are the main problem, I would suggest a modern Ca based grease (based on Ca-12-hydroxystearate, also known as "anhydrous Ca-grease"). this type of grease can withstand temperatures up to about 110 degrees C and has superior stability in a moist environment and also offers quite good corrosion protection. as far as stiffness of the grease is concerned, I suggest a NLGI 2 or NLGI 1 type of grease - the grease you are using at the moment, based on your description, might well be a NLGI type 0 or 00. the behaviour of a grease at low temperature however is not only dictated by its stiffness (NLGI number) but also depends on the viscosity and the type of baseoil that is used in the grease. if low temperature fluidity is important, the use of a poly-alfa-olefin baseoil or a ester basefluid might be preferable.

there are quite a lot of different greases on the market - types with a "multi purpose" character that can be used in the majority of applications and "special" greases that excel under particular operating conditions. whether a "multi purpose" grease would be sufficient under the conditions specified in your description, I cannot really say - more information about the specific application would be needed.

i suggest you talk to a local grease supplier detailing the problems you experienced. he then should be able to advise you. be aware that greases are very special products, quite a bit more complicated then just "thickened oil".
