UG-34 SMALL & integral flat head radii

I am designing a flat head acc.to UG-34(b-2), the specified minimum radius is 10mm as per Fig. UG-34.
The vessel is very small, internal diameter D=34mm and production is telling me that this radii is very difficult to machine and it seems that our competitors are not doing it.

Do you guys know if there is an exception for such small diameters?? Can I reduce the radius diameter or not have the radius at all keeping the ASME VIII design?

henzy77, your "vessel" is clearly outside of the scope of Sec VII, Div. 1. You need not be strictly bound by Fig UG-34 (b-2).

If you were to use the "0.25*ts", would that give a suitable radius? Otherwise use what your shop recommends, but I'd not eliminate the radius altogether.
