Is anyone using Imageware to reverse engineer point clouds into solid (UG) models ?

I'm interested in specific process, and Imageware's relative ease of use. Has anyone discovered any useful point cloud processing capability within UG ?

Also, does anyone know :
When is the next release of Imageware scheduled ?
Does UGS offer a "What's new" for the next release?
As far as future direction, will Imageware continue it's focus as a class A surfacing tool, or will it's point processing capabilities be further developed ( compared to Polyworks for example - )

)?

I would like to have the ability to
- create centerlines/guidestrings for scanned point clouds defining a 3 dimensional cable or hose.
- extract feature lines from point clouds for quick NURB surface creation
- embed GD&T into manufacturing models
My main application is reverse engineering physical parts into UG cad models ( parts already installed in a vehicle - prismatics, freeform cables/hoses, limited requirement for class A surfaces).
I have basic training in version 11, but am still on the steep part of the Imageware (and reverse engineering) learning curve.

All responses appreciated

I would recommend posting in the bbsnotes forum at the UGS GTAC website. UGS developers sometimes keep a watch on those forums & might be able to answer your questions with a little more accuracy.

If that is a dead end, try contacting your Imageware sales rep & see if he can put you in contact with someone in support or development.
