My company is about to upgrade from NX4 to NX6. Part of this activity is to deploy a couple of new working practices & procedures.

We will refile our ‘entire’ database, (all revisions) to replace the ‘faceted representations’ with ‘JT lightweight bodies’ etc….

As all parts will be ‘touched’ during the refile, it would be an excellent opportunity to address several legacy data issues where processes have changed.

One such example is that all new parts contain several additional reference sets as standard compared to older legacy parts.

The creation of these reference sets could be easily automated using any of the NX open tools.

Does anyone know if it is possible to perform a UG-managed re-file, & run a simple NXopen programme on each part?

Cheers in advance,

NXj

I would suspect no. However, you could run your custom program in a batch environment, if possible with TC, and that would do the refile.
