UG NX6 Mouse scroll zoom issue, ideas?

My issue is that when im navigating within the environment UG is not detecting or reading my mouse's scroll wheel input for zoom in/out. Weird thing is that sometimes if I make a short quick sweep with the wheel it will zoom ever so slightly but then stop and it wont react to any more wheel action the rest of the session.
As far as UG as a whole... every other dialogue screen with a scroll bar the mouse scroll works flawlessly. All other programs (Mastercam, BobCad, and Mechanical Desktop) the mouse is fine.

The mouse in question is a Microsoft wireless mobile mouse 4000 WITH latest drivers installed.

NOTE: This is on my laptop running windows 7 x64 UG NX 6.0.4.3

If I plug the mouse into my workstation running windows xp x64 within the same version of UG, there are no issues.

SO why would the mouse start to want to work within the 3D and then stop? ANd also, why would the mouse work fine in every other aspect of the program but not in the 3D?

Any help would be awesome guys, zooming in and out with spaceball alone is getting frustrating and slow.

I'm using a wireless Logitech Trackman 'mouse'...

That is a nice mouse, I have used one a few times but it never feels right. I like the small design of the mouse I am using. I own 4 of them for each computer I use.

Again, thanks for the heads up on the mouse.. but im looking for a solution within UG. Maybe a setting that can force feedback, or some input from anyone else that has experienced the same issues.

**BTW I just tried using a Logitech Mx700 wireless mouse with the same results as my microsoft mouse

I have two and only use them at home, one with the company laptop in a docking-station and another one for my Mac G5 Tower. At the office and on the road, I use a more conventional mouse. BTW, I purchased the two Logitech Trackmans 3 years ago when I had shoulder surgery (I was off work for 8 weeks) and this allowed me to use the computers without having to move my right arm around all that much. I just never went back to a conventional mouse as the Trackman allows me to work without having to keep a large area on my desks clear of stuff (they are my desks, I can stack stuff up anywhere I please ;-)
