I have prt file types from a foreign supplier that I cannot view. They report the files are "UG". My Solid Works program will not open them due to "Unsupported version of UG file. Only v10 or later are supported". Is there a viewer I can down load? Can somebody tell me how to determine which versions these files are (is it in the file header)?

If they really are UG files, Pro/E also uses .prt, the information is in the part header. If you open the file in Wordpad, the UG file is binary with some text strings. The PTC file is mostly text, at least the top portion.

Thank you. According to our ProE expert, they are not ProE, they have the wrong file header.
