I don't use the GD&T portion of drafting alot. Could anyone tell me how to create a Basic Dim. (GD&T Nominal Location, dim. with block around)?
Thanks in advance.

After you create your dimension, select the dimension and with the cursor over the selected dimension, press the right-mouse button and select the 'Style...' option. When the dialog comes up it shoudl be on the 'Dimensions' tab. In the area labeled 'Precision and Tolerance' select the second drop-down box that should initailly be showing a '1.00'. On the list of tolerance options, about 60% of the way down, you will find the option for a 'Basic' dimension. Just select it and then select OK.

Note that if you're going to be creating a large number of Basic dimensions, you can also change the default tolerance, by going to Preferences -> Annotation... where you will find a similier set of options that you pre-set before you start to create your dimensions.

You can also create a basic dimension on the fly by using the right click mouse menu before finalizing the operation. While the dimension is still active, right click on the screen and see the mouse menu. Look for "Tolerance Type" and scroll to the desired type.
