Hello everyone,
I am seeking clarification on the circumstances that determine whether a system falls under the Simple Pressure Vessels (Safety) Regulations 2016:Great Britain or the Pressure Systems Safety Regulations (PSSR).
Currently, in our company, the air farm and associated pipework generally fall under the PSSR, and accordingly, they are inspected by a notified body and a competent person following the Written Schemes of Examinations.
However, I would like to know under what specific conditions the PSSR would not apply, but the Simple Pressure Vessels (Safety) Regulations 2016: Great Britain would be applicable.
I have already inquired with our inspector at Bureau Veritas, but even they were uncertain about the exact distinction.
I have reviewed the documentation available on the HSE website, but it has not provided a clear understanding on this matter.
Thank you for your assistance.
Best regards,
