Has anyone run across any issues UL Listing a NEMA 4 panel with pneumatic fittings? Our UL guy seems to believe that the bulkhead fittings need to be NEMA 4 rated, but I've check around and do not believe these exist. Its for a SOV panel with 24 valves in it going out to two position valves. Any ideas?

sdengr,

That's never come up in our shop (UL508), and we do it all the time. We're careful to seal the bulkhead with a gasket or o-ring. If you have the bulkheads installed before shipping, it should not even be a labeling issue in my opinion (but I'm not your UL inspector).

UL 50 just says that stuff going through holes shall be "appropriate" to maintain environmental rating. No mention of listing or testing.

Let's see what the others have to say, though...

Good on ya,

Goober Dave
