ultrasonic sensor angle 1

i have ultrasonic sensor and PIR motion sensor
i want to know the shape of its waves is it cylindrical like this

or cylindrical with increasing height like this

or part of sphere like this

or what ?!!

Ultrasonic would be more like the latter. PIR would depend on the bezel, which is often tailored to produce a specific coverage pattern. Note, however, PIR is a passive device, and does not send out "waves."
