We have U1 and U2 stamps and various other API and ISO approvals.
There is an enquiry for many vessels (Small in size) and in the enquiry document the requirement for UM stamp is called for (The size and volume and pressure limitations fits the ASME Sec VIII Div 1 UM vessels scope).
There are no Quick opening closures.
All Butt joits will be 100% radiographed.
We will permit Inspection by AI to the satisfaction of AI.
The end user is an American client (but the item is not going to be installed in U S of America).
Before we ask them the question and dig further into ASME UG (And split hair on the legan intent of various statements in U1(J)3), i wanted to know whether we can suggest that we will supply U1 stamped vessel instead of UM.
I will look up our approvals again, but said, Is it a foregone conclusion that if one has U1 and U2 stamp you may also fabricate UM and no special approval of stamp permission is required?
