Dear All,

I have prepared a project on ansys workbench 15 in one computer, now i wanted to further work on that file but on a different computer. I emailed the wpbj file and tried to open the file another computer but i am unable to open the file this error pops up every time :
"the project file directory does not exist. A valid project must have its corresponding project file directory. If the project file has been renamed you should also rename the project_file at the same location."

Can anyone tell me what is the proper way to transfer wokbench file to a different computer. Note that both systems have Ansys workbench 15.

Regards,
Inam

If the only file you moved was the .wbpj file, then, no, you will not be able to open the project. The error that pops up is actually trying to tell you something of value, and I bet if you read it a few times, you might be able to figure out the proper way to transfer a Workbench project to another computer.

actually the the whole project folder of this file is 100 MB in size, which i cannot send through email. So what can i do, besides copying whole file in usb.

Your only other option is to save the project without the results and resolve on the other computer.
Use the archive project option - this might help you get a small file and it is easier to transfer between computers.

I think using a USB will tkae you less time...
