Dear Friends,

I have made a sheet metal sheet by using a variable section sweep. One of the trajectory is an arc of constant radius and the other is an arc of variable radius (spiral). I am unable to unbend such sheet.
Request your views. I can send you the Pro/E part if you can provide me your mail ID.

It sounds like you have created the part in normal modelling mode and not the sheetmetal mode. Send me the part and I'll have a look. In the email, please tell me which ProE version you are running.

The great thing about STMTL is that you can make any type of geometry, but not all are unbendable.

Once you twist geometry in 2 directions, it will not generally unbend.

Think of it this way, since three points define a plane, then if your part does not meet this condition for any part of the geometry, it will not unbend thru this geometry.

You have to design your part with this intent. I used to design complex funnels and hoppers for the packaging indusrty, and learned the long way to undebnd complex geometry.
