For our pre-leach thickeners we are using Vogelsang pumps. They are high maint. and very expensive. We want to cut costs and we are in the midst of installing an ODS pump with air assist and ball checks but current plant air pressures are not sufficient. I was just curious if anyone had a pump model suggestion for the application of pumping pre-leach thickener material.

There have been electrical pumps that have been successful in this kind of service.
- Waukesha makes a good peristaltic pump (pressed hose style) they are now owned by Watson-Marlow
Here is a link:
- If you don't have much room under the thickner, there are smaller but more expensive options like the GEHO hose-diaphragm pumps:
- The ODS pumps are good but expensive to run.
