I have underground tank with 0.8 m diameter and height 1.7 m . HLL is 1.4 m . Specific gravity of liquid is 1.2 . Internal pressure is Atm and static pressure of liquid . Roof is bolted cover .The design code is ASME sec Vlll dev .1 .
1) how I calculate the thickness of tank ( shell , bottom ).
2) the design of bolted cover has to take the effect of soil load ( density of soil is given ) . Can Anybody advise me how I can consider soil load in design of bolted cover ( roof ) and is it possible to do this using compress software ? Also concrete pavement thickness is given .
