Please can anybody offer some advice.

Basically can I use A216 WCB, 316 St.St / Stellite coated materials and state that they NACE compliant. The materials have been purchased generally in accordance with NACE but they have now been machined. Do I need to know the exact application of the materials before I can definitavely stae they are NACE compliant?

Any help would be much appreciated

Many Thanks

Nace compliance requires you to know the material parameters AND the environment and process.

If you don't know the exact application, you have to get it before giving NACE compliance...

All you can do is to report that the material meets the metallurgical requirements of NACE MR0175.

Without prior knowledge of the service environment you can't say absolutely that the material complies with the requirements of the standard.
