Hello, I am designing a revision for an ROV and am currently using SubConn underwater bulkhead connectors for feeding wires through a watertight pressure housing. Unfortunately these are slightly more expensive than we have a budget for, so I am looking into cheaper options. We need to be able to pass through 4 to 12 amps per connector and the deepest our ROV will be is 100 ft. (so purchasing a connector rated for 20,000 psi is overkill).

Thanks for the feedback.

try to buy them used?

seaconn is trying to cut into subconns business, so you might save a few bucks there; but not much, and in my opinion, subconn are better.

you could make your own by potting with a urethane epoxy. We used to need to do that from time to time. (it's only cheaper if your labor is free...)
