Undoing Windchill frames like we could do in Intralink 1

Several months ago we switched from Intralink to Windchill.

I remember that in Intralink, we could “undo” frames. This would effectively undo any CAD work and restore the models back to any of the previously saved configurations. This is a very valuable tool to have. Do we have this ability in Windchill?
Thanks, Gil

We have made the same change over the new year. The functionality you are after is in the 'event manager'.

This gives you a list of various actions, some of which are restorable. The ones with the icon which looks like 2 pages of text is the button you are after. This will go back to that point. You can also lock entries allowing you to clear the manager window without losing the point.

Thank you for your response, however, when I go to my event manager, I don't see any icon that looks lie "2 pages of text". I do have icons accross the top for "delete", "refresh" and "find in list". So if I delete an event in the event manager, then go to my workspace and refresh it, has the 'event' been undone?

Our event manager may be slightly different as we're using a heavily customised setup. I wont be able to get a screenshot for a few weeks and google images is not being very forthcoming. I imagine theres something in the Pro/E help documentation somewhere.

Hi, I just wanted to keep this up in case someone can tell me. The question, again, is: How can you "undo" a frame in Windchill like we used to do in Intralink?

Thanks very much,
Gil, TX

What version of Intralink are you using?
I think this was implemented in 9.1 m010 or m020.
Windchill is only the base technology. PDMLink, MPMLink, ProjectLink and IntraLink are applications built on Windchill.

I mentioned this to our Windchill IT guy and he went into Windchill Workgroup manager and set the frame stack to 5. Then after doing that, we have an additional icon on SOME of the lines listed in event manager. I assume that means that you can only go back (undo) to certain frame configurations (again, not all of the lines have the new icon). The icon looks like two pieces of paper with text on them, one stacked on top of the other. I've not tried it yet, but the hint text pops up and says "apply this event" which I assume means "go back to this and make this the latest event" effectively undoing anything that came after that. I hope I'm understanding this correctly. Someone let me know if I don't.
